So let’s say you started your podcast? Got your mic, hosting platform, editing software. Check. Check. Check. So, you may be wondering: now what? Is this thing going to make me any money?
YES! There are numerous ways to monetize your podcast. In this post, I will be discussing just that and include below a link to a report that lists additional ways to monetize your podcast. Here we go:
As some of you know, I am a podcast coach. I’ve used my own podcast to land clients. Some of my clients include, TesseTalks Podcast , the TesseLeads Podcast to name a few. So if you are a coach or a consultant of any kind with a podcast, feel free to advertise your services on your podcast .
You can use your podcast to get the word out about an event you’re hosting. Not only can you earn money from your event, but also bring your audience together and create a community of sorts. An especially valuable and profitable event is hosting a masterclass on a topic of your choice. For example, I have one in the works so be on the lookout for my upcoming masterclass.
Any authors in the house? Feel free to use your podcast to talk about your book and generate buzz, sales, and reviews from your audience. If they choose to listen to you frequently, they’d likely be open to what you’d say in long-form. So don’t be shy and talk up your book on air. In fact, here’s a shameless plug, I have a book coming out soon so please don’t miss out on my soon-to-be released book. HINT: It centers on one of my favorite topics: women and immigration.
As promised above here is a more exhaustive list of ways to monetize your podcast. So what are you waiting for? Start monetizing your podcast, one episode at a time.
That’s all I got for now folks. Until next time!
