Sheila’s Story – I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and completed my undergraduate degree in History and Education at Hunter College, which is a part of the City University of New York. My husband graduated from City College and was a Science Major. After we graduated we married. We both taught in the public schools of New York City. After becoming a mother of two sons we moved to Arlington, Texas.
I received a Master’s Degree in Education Administration. I continued teaching and retired as an elementary school Assistant Principal. My husband retired from Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages. To be physically closer to our sons, yet not too close to them, we decided to retire in the great state of North Carolina… and we love it here!
My husband and I still have not decided what we want to do when we grow up. . I am now a business owner. This new role gives me the opportunity to use many skills acquired during my years in education… negotiating, team building, communicating, motivating, selling and teaching.
These skills have helped me build a thriving residential cleaning service – Spotless LLC.
As an owner of a housecleaning service, my focus is on making expert housekeepers available, to individuals and families, to relieve some of the stress of daily living … endured by so many in our society today. I’m still trying to, positively, affect lives.
