Norm Randall is the proud co-owner/operator of Dilworth Neighborhood Grille, a restaurant that specializes in American fare. His restaurant has been going strong for the past 11 years, opening in the summer of 2004. Never a dull moment and full of ups and downs, Norm and his business partner, Matt Wohlfarth (Wool-farth), have grown Dilworth Neighborhood Grille to the friendly neighborhood joint with a focus on serving families and sports enthusiasts.
The restaurant, known to regulars as Dilworth Grille or just DNG, has built a cult following for specialty menu items including spiedies, black bean burgers and build your own salads. The newest addition is an open air bar complete with garage doors adding to the amazing event space which hosts well over 1000 events every year.Â
Norm moved to Charlotte in 1994 (while his wife was still in high school) from Endicott, NY – an area known as the Southern Tier in Upstate New York. Prior to opening DNG Norm was a shareholder in Carolina Beer and Beverage, a micro-brewery that now focuses on co-packing beverage products like Red Bull.
One of Norm’s greatest joys with the Dilworth Grille is his ability to live out his faith and give back to the community – serving breakfast to the homeless on Thanksgiving morning, March it Forward which gave $8,000 to different charities voted on by his staff and providing his space to countless non-profits to help them raise money through events for their donors.
Norm is married with two adorable kids, Jacob, six years old and McKenzie who is four.
